We took Jack to our favorite burger joint in Chicago, Charcoal Delights. It's across the street from the CTA station my dad used to work out of on Foster Ave. near River Park. Our family has been going their for at least 30 years, Jack being the third generation of Rajczyks to indulge our burger jones
In the "old days" it was counter-service only, the winding S-shaped Formica top snaking from the back wall to the front door where, as often as not, we would buy a roll of mints or a pack of gum on the way out.

Jack's back.
Now that Jack is so mobile I find myself observing him from a different point of view - usually trying to catch him.
Our son is walking.
There are usually stumbles, and he still has trouble keeping his balance on rougher terrain (in his case rougher terrain means bed sheets and un-level grass), but Jack's on his feet most of the time.
