A dog, a tennis ball and some snow; what's more fun than that?

Jack has been helping me edit the latest screenplay I've been writing. It's true what they say about kids, how their reactions are always sincere. I can tell when he finds a scene amusing, intriguing and, occasionally, he's even shocked. He's a stickler for syntax and has a great eye for continuity, but his real expertise is in character development where he's been an indispensable help. He has a few ideas of his own he's been pitching me (who doesn't have an idea for a movie?) and I told him that he should write an outline and we'll get to work on it after the holidays.

This video is from a few moths back.  We were driving back from Michigan the weekend after Cowpie (the second weekend in August) and got caught in horrible traffic.   A trip that usually takes three hours was nearing five hours and we were still in Indiana.  Jack had slept a little on the way out of Michigan, but he was starting to get a little punchy.  We were doing our best to keep him entertained and occupied, but he was losing his patience, and getting a little slap happy.
It makes us laugh every time we see it.  We showed it to him a little while back and he's as amused (and fascinated) by it was we are...but for entirely different reasons.
